We are the relatively new owners of Newbold Optician - Jill and James Heath (we bought the Practice in 2019). When we took the Practice over we gutted the existing Practice and installed new state-of-the-art equipment in the Consulting room, including an OCT Scanner, which looks in depth at the different layers of the eye and which can detect eye care problems up to 4 years ahead or previous techniques. We are very proud to be able to offer this to our valued patients.

We have remained open all through all the Lockdowns of Covid-19 to cater for any eye emergency, problem or concern. We have delivered spectacles and contact lenses to our patients and are still happy to do this for any patient who feels uncomfortable coming into the Practice.  We are still operating an appointment only system presently, to protect our patients and staff alike. We have been and still are following Government and our professional bodies’ advice regarding cleaning after each patient and observing social distancing.

We reserve several  NHS appointments daily, for anyone with an acute problem, in order to see them as soon as possible. We believe we are the only optician in Market Drayton to operate this valuable system. We have new ranges of frames and sunglasses just in for Spring. We offer safety and sports wear and personalised varifocal lenses amongst many other options. We are happy to answer any questions any patients may have.
