14.00 Café closes. Festival closes to the public and Exhibitors can start breaking down.
14.30-15.30 In an adjacent suite, yet to be confirmed, MDCE will launch its local campaign to promote Shropshire Climate Action Partnership’s (SCAP) Zero Carbon Shropshire’s Plan (ZCSP) to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. This Plan identifies a series of recommended actions suitable for everyone – from individuals and households to businesses and local government. The COP26 UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Glasgow between 1-12 November will provide an impetus to local actions. It is anticipated that two or three speakers will give a talk on major Environment and Climate Change concerns. One person who has agreed to speak is Dr Roy Alexander on behalf of the Ashton Hayes, Cheshire, Carbon Neutral Project that has achieved remarkable success since launch in 2006. Members of the Project now wish to provide their expertise to guide similar projects.
