The Garden Gallery

The Festival Drayton Centre has an exciting addition to its extensive portfolio. The walls of the centre bordering the garden and patio area at the rear of the building are now adorned by twenty two superb frescoes.

Using imported but traditional materials the panels have provided talented local artist, Nick Parry, the opportunity to create a pictorial social history of Market Drayton. Local natural history, geography, traditions, crafts and industries are illustrated alongside more specific historical events.

Nick has used well researched methods and styles to ensure that his stunning outdoor ‘masterpieces’ last for many years.

To accompany the exhibition the artist has written a book which makes an enchanting journey through bygone days. The books are available at the Centre reception desk.

The display is open throughout the year and may be accessed whenever the Centre is open.
