Goldstone Hall in Market Drayton

Dining at Goldstone is intended to be both a serious and a fun thing to do.

Goldstone Hall in Market Drayton has a massive background and experience to cooking here and at all times we are moving forward and bringing innovation and taste on to the plate. Starched table linen, fine china and sensible glasses are the order of the day, served by a bright, enthusiastic and well organised Front of House team. A true Shropshire welcome.

Tasting Menu

This is when Goldstone’s ethos of from garden to plate is right to the fore and the Head Chef, Liam Philbin, has free rein to demonstrate full flavour dishes that celebrates our kitchen gardens and the our Shropshire suppliers that surround us. This will be a 7 course tasting menu for £48.50. Available Wednesday to Sunday.

Garden Menu

Enjoy quality service and high quality food with more casual options. There is space in the garden on lovely days, private rooms if private is what you would like and we will always help you mark special occasions. Available Monday – Friday inclusively for lunch and dinner.

Afternoon Tea is a quintessentially English tradition and is upheld here at Goldstone Hall. Offering a delicious array of delicate finger sandwiches is accompanied by selection of homemade savouries, warm freshly baked scones served with Shropshire cream and home-made jam, as well as a selection of cakes.

The tradition of Goldstone and innovative cooking from Liam in perfect harmony–Sirloin beef bred and reared specially for us by Shrewsbury butcher–John Corbett. This is succulent sirloin with that really old fashioned almost creamy beefyness rarely found these days; roasties spot on and Yorkies made by a native of Gods other own county.

The Goldstone Bar and Cellar

Despite being tucked in a rural backwater our bar will satisfy the most sophisticated thirst; 17 wines by the glass, well-conditioned Hobson’s Town Crier, the best lager in the world, cider from the Teme Valley, Worcestershire and a virtually never ending collection of gin to dilute the Fevertree tonics. Our wine list may be described as eclectic and tends to follow our personal preferences of clean, dry and unoaked whites and fruit driven and increasingly lighter reds. Our Private Collection of wines tends to be red based and from the traditional top notch wine regions of the world. We buy from the top merchants in the country though we bias toward Shropshire’s own award winning Tanners Wines of Shrewsbury.
