Community First Responders Buys New Ambulance

ALC First Respond

Community First Responders buys new ambulance to respond to medical emergencies (Reg Charity no. 1124848) — The Ashley & Loggerheads Community First Responders are pleased to announce the arrival of a new ambulance that will be used to respond to the most serious 999 medical emergency calls in the area. The ambulance was only possible due to generous donations from the community and local businesses, along with grants from local Parish and Town Councils, and the Big Lottery Community Fund.

Community First Responders

The new ambulance is equipped with medical equipment and staffed by volunteers who have undergone extensive training in first aid and emergency response and are able to provide life-saving first aid treatment on the scene of an emergency in those crucial first moments before an ambulance arrives. It is tasked by West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) to cover calls within a 5 mile radius of Loggerheads, including Ashley, Market Drayton, Cheswardine, Maer & Aston, Mucklestone, Hales and all communities and villages in between.

Community First Responders

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated money or contributed to the fundraising effort, and is a testament to the support from our community. The vehicle will undoubtedly save lives and make a significant difference to the Community First Responders’ ability to respond to medical emergencies.
