GO GREEN: FESTIVAL DRAYTON, 29TH OCTOBER 2021

MDCE LOGO

Market Drayton Community Enterprise’s latest event: Go Green will be held at the Festival Drayton Centre’s auditorium on 29th October between 10am and 2pm. Thirty exhibitors will be present and entry is free, (voluntary donations also greatly appreciated).

At 10am the event will be formally opened by town and Shropshire Councillor, Ian Nellins (Shropshire Council Portfolio Holder for Climate Change, Natural Assets & The Green Economy). MDCE proposes to launch a local campaign to support Shropshire Climate Action Partnership’s Zero Carbon Shropshire Plan.

Speaker Session – A speaker session (also free) follows on, in the adjacent Festival Room (seating for up to 72 people – booked reservations will be prioritized) commencing at 2.30pm and concluding by 4pm. Regional ‘green’ specialists will share ideas on possible actions by individual, households, businesses and town and parish councils. There will be perspectives on recycling and the impact of climate change on our environment. A booking reservation will be in place for the Speaker Session so that refreshments can be provided. For further information, please contact Eric Davis at ericatriverside@btinternet.com. Go Green marks the start of the Drayton Arts Festival weekend (29th – 31st October).
