A well attended family fun day was enjoyed by Market Drayton residents on Thursday 2nd June in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The event, on St Mary’s Church car park was organised jointly between the Town Council, the Royal British Legion and the Rev. Catherine McBride of St. Mary’s with the support of volunteers from The Rotary Club, the Scouts/Explorers and St Mary’s Church. It was funded by Market Drayton Town Council who would like to thank all stallholders for their participation. The event raised over £450 which was donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) for humanitarian work in Ukraine.
