This year our group has been catching up on a covid/lockdown related backlog of footpath repairs, e.g. mending stiles, adding dog gates and cutting back vegetation.
After a long gap we have also started some regular public walks, and have had a better response than last time we tried them. If you’d like to come along, you’d be made very welcome. We tend to have ‘walks’ rather than cross-country romps, so no experience is necessary!
Our next walks are planned as: December 6th (Hodnet to Marchamley – to include visit to/seasonal drink stop at Hawkstone Hall; February 7th (Hodnet to Wollerton and back via Espley); March 7th (Around Fauls); April 4th (TBA); May 2nd (TBA). All walks start at 10.00 AM and last around 2 – 3 hours.
We are also finalising an update/reprint of our popular series of local walk leaflets – it’s surprising how much has changed in only a few years along our various (10) published walk routes ! New leaflets should be in local outlets by December, and will also be downloadable from our website.
We are always open to new members/or those who’d like to assist work parties on a more casual basis.
